KS3 & KS4 PE Teacher

We are looking for KS3/KS4 PE teachers to join mainstream Secondary schools across Liverpool. 

Role:

As a PE teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students in Physical Education. Your role will involve creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages both physical activity and personal development, with a strong emphasis on building teamwork, leadership, and resilience through sport.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students across KS3/KS4

  • Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles, both within and outside the classroom

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all students

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the wider school community and extracurricular activities

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help students improve and achieve their full potential

  • Participate in school events, sports competitions, and school trips as appropriate

  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and resources

  • Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to in all lessons and activities

Qualifications: 

  • A qualified teacher with a relevant degree or teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS)

  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum for Physical Education and KS3/KS4

  • Experience teaching PE in a school setting (ideally at Key Stage 3 level)

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to professional development and a passion for supporting students’ personal and academic growth
