Speech and Language Therapist

Duties
- Assess, plan, and deliver individual and group speech and language therapy for pupils with varying communication needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to develop and implement personalised communication strategies.
- Contribute to EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plans) assessments and reviews.
- Provide training, advice, and support to school staff and parents/carers to ensure communication goals are carried over into all environments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and documentation in line with school and professional standards.
- Contribute to the wider development of the therapy provision within the school.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Speech Therapy or equivalent is essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults with varying needs, is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with assistive technology for communication may be beneficial.
