Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Global Developmental Delay (GDD) Support Assistant to join one of our schools in L28 Liverpool!

You’ll be joining an inclusive and loving school, focused on diversity and promoting a safe academic environment for those with complex additional needs.

This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students

  • Support the pupil consistently on a 1:1 basis, tailoring interventions to their specific developmental needs

  • Assist in the implementation of EHCP targets and individual learning plans

  • Help pupils build independence, communication, and social interaction skills

  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with Global Developmental Delay or similar additional needs

  • Must have a passion for education and supporting SEND pupils

  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills

  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher and SEND professionals

  • Must have experience supporting personal care when needed
