Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Speech and Language Support Assistant to join one of our schools in L35 Liverpool. 

You’ll be joining an inclusive and loving school, focused on diversity and promoting a safe academic environment for those with complex additional needs.

This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students

  • Support pupils with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Work with teachers and Speech and Language Therapists to implement communication strategies and targets

  • Use visual aids, communication tools, and structured interventions to support pupils

  • Help pupils develop confidence and independence in their communication

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs

  • Must have a passion for education and supporting communication development

  • Must possess good communication, numeracy and literacy skills

  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher and speech therapy professionals

  • SEN school experience is highly desirable
