Job Title: General Teaching Assistant
Location: L7, Liverpool 
Contract Type: Term Time Only
Salary: £101.40 per day + CPD courses 

Job Description:

As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils across the school. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, preparing learning materials, supporting individual and group work, and contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to teachers and pupils.

  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

  • Support the emotional, social, and educational development of pupils.

  • Work with small groups or individual students, including those with additional needs.

  • Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.

  • Participate in school activities, events, and training as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A positive, caring, and patient attitude.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting 

  • A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
