Milk Education are recruiting for an inspiring and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a progressive Secondary School in Wakefield on a long-term basis from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher or a passionate ECT/NQT looking to launch their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The school has a strong track record of academic success and a real focus on practical, hands-on science education.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Science Teacher:

  • Delivering engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on your specialism)

  • Preparing students for GCSE assessments through targeted planning and high-quality teaching

  • Promoting a passion for scientific enquiry and curiosity in the classroom

  • Contributing to departmental planning, resource development, and school-wide STEM initiatives

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) – ECTs and NQTs are welcome to apply

  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one core Science discipline

  • Ability to inspire and engage students with varying levels of ability

  • Confident classroom presence and effective behaviour management strategies
