Pay: £90–£115 per day (depending on experience)

Milk Education is proud to be supporting a forward-thinking SEN school in Tottenham that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils with a wide range of complex needs. They are currently seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis.

  • ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder)

  • SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs)

  • MLD, SLD and PMLD (Moderate, Severe, and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties)

  • PD (Physical Disabilities)

  • OTH (Other Difficulties/Disabilities)

Role Overview:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Support students who display challenging behaviours linked to SEN.

  • Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised intervention plans.

  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils regulate emotions and engage in learning.

  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure holistic care.

  • Foster a safe, supportive, and consistent environment that enables every pupil to thrive.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour, preferably in an SEN or alternative provision setting.

  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed practices.

  • Patience, resilience, and a calm, positive approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A background in youth work, psychology, mental health, or education is advantageous.
