Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious and Qualified Teacher / ECT to join an exceptional Secondary SEMH Alternative provision in L14, Liverpool. This teacher will be teaching the students basic Science- in small groups of around 5-8 children. An ECT / experienced teacher would be perfect for this role.

This role is to begin FULL-TIME starting from September.

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs.

This is an exciting role for an experienced educator or an Early Careers Teacher to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

Class Teacher Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Have a good, up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and know how to use and adapt them, including how to personalise learning to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential.
  • Teaching Science to KS3 / KS4 children with SEMH needs- behaviour management is required.
  • Hold positive values and attitudes and adopt high standards of behaviour in their professional role.
  • To organise the classroom, its resources, pupil groupings and displays in order to provide a stimulating learning environment.
  • Manage the learning of individuals, groups and whole classes effectively, modifying their teaching appropriately to suit the stage of the lesson and the needs of the learners.

 

Class Teacher must haves:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Successful teaching experience across key stages 2 & 3, working with children with additional needs.
  • Degree / specialism in Science
  • Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies and proven experience of their success
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing when working with children, and when communicating with parents, other staff and governors where appropriate.
