Milk Education is looking for a compassionate and approachable Pastoral Support Assistant to join a Primary School in Teesside.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys talking to children, building relationships and helping pupils feel confident and supported.
You’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils with their emotional wellbeing, confidence, attendance, relationships and engagement with school life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Providing emotional and pastoral support.
- Helping children develop confidence and resilience.
- Supporting positive friendships and relationships.
- Encouraging pupils to engage positively with school.
- Running small-group activities around wellbeing and confidence.
- โญ Celebrating pupil achievements and progress.
- Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams.
- Helping create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
You Could Be Perfect For This If You…
- Are naturally approachable, empathetic and positive.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy helping children overcome challenges.
- Are patient, consistent and trustworthy.
- Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, mentoring, community work or similar.
- Are a graduate or aspiring teacher.
- Have volunteering or placement experience with children.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
