Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? Milk Education is looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting pupils within welcoming primary schools.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing personalised support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs.
  • Help pupils access learning through engaging and differentiated activities.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and independence.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to implement personalised support plans.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school, nursery, care or youth work setting is desirable.
  • A patient, caring and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
