Milk Foundation is looking to recruit a Aspiring Learning support assistants and Teaching Assistants to work in our client schools in the Addlestone and Surrey schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for anybody wanting to build their experience working alongside our lovely Primary Schools. We are open to all levels of experience.

 Job Summary:

A Supply Teaching Assistant/LSA provides temporary classroom support in the absence of regular staff. They assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and student support, ensuring continuity in learning and a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Support:

    • Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
    • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
    • Supervise students during lessons, break times, and transitions.
  2. Student Assistance:

    • Help students understand lesson content and complete tasks.
    • Provide extra support for students, if required.
    • Promote positive behavior and classroom engagement.
  3. Classroom Management:

    • Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment.
    • Follow the school’s behavior management policies and procedures.
    • Ensure smooth transitions between activities and lessons.
  4. Flexibility & Adaptability:

    • Adapt quickly to different classrooms, year groups, and subjects, where necessary.
    • Work in various schools or settings as assigned.
    • Communicate effectively with school staff to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; relevant qualifications 
  • Experience: Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and classrooms.
    • Patience, resilience, and enthusiasm for working with students.
    • Good organisational skills and classroom management abilities.
