Aspiring Teachers – Primary School Experience

Thinking About Becoming a Teacher? Start Your Journey Here.

Are you considering a career in teaching but want to gain real classroom experience first?

Milk Education is looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team as Aspiring Teachers, supporting Primary Schools across the local area. Whether you’re a recent graduate, a career changer or someone with experience working with children, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop the skills and confidence needed for a future in education.

Why This Role?

There’s no better way to find out if teaching is the career for you than by stepping into the classroom.

You’ll work alongside experienced teachers, support pupils with their learning, lead small group activities and become an important part of school life. Every day presents a new challenge, helping you build valuable classroom experience while making a real difference to children’s education.

Many of our Aspiring Teachers go on to secure long-term school positions, teacher training opportunities and permanent roles within education.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Encourage engagement, confidence and independence.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and follow school policies.
  • Maintain safeguarding procedures at all times.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Graduates from any degree background.
  • Individuals considering a PGCE, School Direct or teacher training.
  • Strong communicators with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable, whether through paid employment, university placements, school placements, volunteering, coaching, mentoring or youth work.
  • Passionate individuals who want to make a difference and inspire the next generation.

Why Milk Education?

  • Flexible work to fit around your lifestyle.
  • Competitive daily pay.
  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements.
  • Free CPD including Safeguarding, Behaviour Management and SEND.
  • Support from experienced education consultants.
  • Access to a wide network of Primary Schools.
  • A fantastic stepping stone into a teaching career.
