We’re currently recruiting for a Behaviour Buddy to join a Primary School in Wallsend on a long or short-term basis starting in September. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.
This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
- Help de-escalate challenging situations and resolve conflicts calmly and effectively.
- Support pupils during lessons, break times, and transitions around the school.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements or Skills:
- Experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, or care setting.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
