A mainstream primary school in Liverpool is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to support pupils with complex behavioural needs. This role demands resilience, initiative, and a deep commitment to helping young people re-engage with learning.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, and challenging behaviours

  • Leading de-escalation, regulation, and restorative strategies

  • Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured environment

  • Building trust and consistency through clear boundaries and positive relationships

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in PRUs, SEMH schools, or youth work settings

  • Confidence, managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation

  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset and strong team ethic

  • Ability to stay calm, consistent, and compassionate in high-pressure situations
