Milk Education are seeking a committed and resilient English teacher to join a dedicated department in a Secondary school in Knotty Ash. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 English, with the expectation of planning and delivering engaging English lessons to support students in developing a strong understanding of Literature and Language. This is a temporary, full-time position, starting as soon as possible, running until July 2026, with the opportunity to become permanent if successful.

 

The school has strong values encompassing compassion, resilience and respect. Every member of staff is a leader and will help continue to instill these values the school’s young learners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum

·         Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

·         Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

·         Collaborate with school staff to ensure effective learning outcomes

·         Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools

 

Requirements:

·         Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

·         Specialism in English – able to teach to KS3 and KS4

·         Strong classroom management skills

·         Ability to build rapport with students and staff

·         Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
