We’re currently recruiting for a Geography Teacher in Middleton to join a supportive secondary school on a long-term basis. Your Main Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teaching a broad range of physical and human Geography topics

  • Preparing resources and adapting lessons to meet different learning needs

  • Assessing student progress and providing appropriate feedback

  • Building positive relationships with students and staff

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations

  • Supporting pupils to develop their geographical knowledge, skills and confidence

  • Contributing to the wider life of the Geography department and school community

Requirements or Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge across the Geography curriculum

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A professional and positive classroom presence

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential

  • A genuine interest in securing a long-term Geography Teacher role in Middleton
