Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Primary Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming Primary Schools across Durham. Whether you’re looking for flexible day-to-day work, short-term placements or a long-term opportunity, this role will help you build classroom confidence, develop key skills and make a genuine difference in children’s lives.

The Opportunity

Whether your degree is in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Science, Sport, Performing Arts or another subject, we’d love to hear from graduates with a passion for working with children.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 during lessons.
  • Deliver engaging one-to-one and small group interventions.
  • Help children build confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation.
  • Help create an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

We’re Looking For

  • A degree (or expected graduation) in any subject.
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Any experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
