History Teacher – Greenwich
Milk Education are working in partnership with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich to appoint an enthusiastic History Teacher for a September start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate History Teacher to join a thriving Humanities department and inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the past, while building the analytical and critical thinking skills needed for future success.
The successful History Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that bring historical events, people and societies to life. The school is committed to high academic standards and encourages students to question evidence, evaluate interpretations and develop informed perspectives on the world around them. History plays a key role in helping students strengthen their research, reasoning and communication skills.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Working as a History Teacher to inspire curiosity about the past and its impact on the modern world
- Developing students’ analytical, investigative and evaluative skills
- Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting strong academic outcomes
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress effectively
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Contributing to Humanities department initiatives and curriculum development
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive
The Ideal Candidate:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of historical periods and topics
- Ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Commitment to raising attainment and achievement
- ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

Essential Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Recent experience teaching History within UK secondary schools
