We’re currently recruiting for an Intervention Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive school that is committed to raising attainment, promoting wellbeing and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with small groups and making a measurable impact on pupils’ progress.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering targeted English and Maths interventions across KS1 and KS2

  • Supporting pupils who are working below age-related expectations

  • Planning and delivering engaging intervention sessions tailored to individual needs

  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to class teachers and senior leaders

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to identify learning gaps and implement effective support strategies

  • Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment that builds confidence and independence

  • Supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal targets

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Recent experience teaching within a primary school

  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum across KS1 and/or KS2

  • Experience delivering interventions or targeted support is desirable

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider school team

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
