KS1 Teacher

Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Gateshead to appoint a KS1 Teacher to join their dedicated team from September.

KS1 Teacher – Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
  • Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where children feel supported and motivated to learn.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, wellbeing, and pupil achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil progress.
  • Monitor and report on pupil development while following all safeguarding and school policies.

KS1 Teacher – Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent and relevant UK teaching experience within Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A reflective, enthusiastic, and committed approach to teaching and learning
  • Must live locally to Gateshead—no relocation
