Milk Education is working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Leeds who are looking for passionate and dedicated KS1 Teachers to join their teams from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT who is passionate about helping children develop their confidence, independence, and love of learning during these important early years of their education.


About the Role

As a KS1 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress
  • Support phonics, early reading, writing, and mathematics development
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff to support individual needs
  • Encourage independence, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and behaviour

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent
  • Experienced in KS1 or passionate about developing their KS1 practice
  • Confident delivering the KS1 curriculum
  • Knowledgeable about phonics, early reading, writing, and maths
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and nurturing
  • Confident with classroom and behaviour management
  • Committed to inclusion and adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Passionate about helping children reach their full potential
