We’re currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.
You’ll be joining a caring and inclusive school that places wellbeing, safeguarding and positive relationships at the heart of everything they do. The school is looking for someone who can build trust with pupils, support emotional wellbeing and help create a positive learning environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to children’s lives both inside and outside the classroom.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing pastoral and emotional support to pupils across the school

Supporting children with attendance, wellbeing and behaviour
-
Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO and senior leaders
-
Building positive relationships with pupils and their families
-
Delivering interventions that promote confidence, resilience and self-esteem
-
Supporting pupils during transitions and throughout the school day
-
Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing school environment
Requirements or Skills:
-
Recent experience working with children or young people
-
Experience in a school or pastoral setting is desirable
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Calm, patient and empathetic approach
-
Confident supporting pupils with additional needs or behavioural challenges
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider school team

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
