Qualified Maths Teacher

We’re currently recruiting for a Secondary Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Derby on a full-time basis, starting September.

You’ll be joining a welcoming and ambitious school that places a strong emphasis on high standards, inclusion, and student achievement. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ mathematical knowledge, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school objectives.
  • Encouraging students to achieve their full academic potential and develop confidence in Mathematics.
  • Upholding the values and professional standards of Milk Education and our partner schools.

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A specialism in Mathematics with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities.
  • A commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
