Milk Education are seeking a creative, passionate, and resilient Art Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Art, delivering engaging practical lessons across a range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop students’ creativity, technical skills, and confidence in artistic expression
  • Teach a range of techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
  • Manage classroom and studio environments safely, ensuring correct use of materials and equipment
  • Use assessment data to track progress and support student development
  • Encourage experimentation, individuality, and creative thinking
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
  • Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Art – able to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Good subject knowledge across a range of artistic media and techniques
  • Ability to inspire creativity and engage students of all abilities
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
