⭐ Job Vacancy: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Contract ⭐
Are you a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work on a long-term basis, providing dedicated support to a pupil within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
Location: L9 Liverpool
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £101.40 per day + CPD courses
Role Overview:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support a child with specific educational, social, or emotional needs, helping them engage fully in classroom learning and daily routines. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO, tailoring your approach to ensure the pupil’s individual needs are met.
Key Duties:

Provide 1:1 classroom and breaktime support to a child with SEN

Follow the child’s individual support or behaviour plan

Deliver targeted interventions and monitor progress

Promote the child’s confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing

Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers

Support inclusion and encourage participation in all aspects of school life
What We’re Looking For:
-
Relevant experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting
-
Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or other needs
-
Calm, caring, and resilient attitude
-
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff
-
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred
-
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
