We are recruiting on behalf of an outstanding autism specialist school that is seeking a dedicated Autism Support Specialist to join their dynamic, child-centred team.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism

Implement individualised education and behaviour plans
-
Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or sensory integration (training provided if needed)

Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and therapists to ensure holistic support
-
Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Requirements:

Experience working with children with autism (in school, care, or support settings)
-
Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for inclusive education and SEN
-
Desirable: Training in Autism-specific approaches (e.g., PECS, Makaton)
