SEND Primary Teacher – Redcar

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified SEND Teacher to join a well-established specialist provision in Redcar. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

This role is based within a supportive and inclusive school environment that places a strong emphasis on wellbeing, equality, and building positive relationships. The provision supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities through a personalised and nurturing approach, ensuring every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.

SEND Primary Teacher – Key Responsibilities

  • Apply a strong and up-to-date understanding of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, adapting approaches to meet individual pupil needs
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning experiences that enable all pupils to progress and succeed
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, promoting positive values and attitudes at all times
  • Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment through effective organisation and use of resources
  • Manage and support learning across individuals, small groups, and whole-class settings, adapting teaching as required throughout lessons

SEND Primary Teacher – Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 1 and/or 2, ideally within a SEND setting
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and the ability to apply them effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when working with pupils, families, colleagues, and external professionals
