SEN Teaching Assistant– Support Pupils with Autism, ADHD & SEMH Needs   

 

Full time or part time options available

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

School hours: 8:30am-3:30pm

Day rate: £107.00-£112.00

 

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join supportive school settings, working with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

 

The role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning activities
  • Using strategies such as visual supports, structured routines, and sensory approaches
  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to support progress and confidence

We are looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, etc.)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting SEND learners
