Role Overview

  • Location: Liverpool
  • Contract: Full Time
  • Phase: KS3 / KS4

Are you a Social Science Graduate with a strong interest in early child development? Are you looking to gain hands‑on experience supporting young children’s learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development in a SEN Secondary setting?

Milk Education is recruiting recent Grads to work in schools across Liverpool. This role is ideal for graduates who are considering future careers in Educational Psychology, Child Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Youth Work or Occupational Therapy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to children between the ages of 4 – 12
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including early developmental delays, SEND, SEMH, and speech & language needs
  • Assist children with emotional regulation, social skills, and daily routines
  • Encourage engagement through play‑based and structured learning activities
  • Support the delivery of phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and fine motor activities
  • Promote positive behavior, independence, and confidence
  • Observe, monitor, and record progress in line with the KS1 Framework
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • degree in a Social Science subject such as Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Youth Work (essential)
  • A strong interest in early years development and child wellbeing
  • Experience working with children (nurseries, schools, clubs, or care settings) is desirable
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Commitment to providing consistent, reliable support
