Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in North Leeds. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping students reach their full potential. Teaching Assistant key responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one support to students or small groups.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Help with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs.
  • Participate in planning and preparing instructional materials.
  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with primary school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
