Teaching Assistant (TA) – Primary

We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to further their career in education while becoming a valued member of a supportive school community.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning

  • Delivering targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy

  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ social and emotional development

  • Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Requirements or Skills:

  • Recent experience working with children or young people in a school or education setting

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, or equivalent practical experience

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach

  • Experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 is advantageous

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
