Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work full-time across welcoming primary schools in Durham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build strong relationships with pupils, support their learning and become a valued and consistent member of a school team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide targeted support through 1:1 and small-group work, helping children build confidence, develop independence and get the most from their education.
Your Role
- Support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing
- Deliver effective 1:1 and small-group support
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Help pupils develop communication and social skills
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain confidentiality
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education or a related subject is preferred
- A caring, patient and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enthusiasm for helping children succeed
- The ability to build positive relationships and remain calm and supportive
