We are recruiting for a Primary Teacher for a Primary School in Standish, Wigan (WN6) to work on a long-term basis starting Monday 3rd June 2024.

The Year 6 Teacher role is to start Monday 3rd June 2024 and running until the end of July 2024. This role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 29 children in the class and there is one full-time TA working on a one to one basis with an SEND child. The school would like someone who has previous KS2 teaching experience.

Your role & responsibilities:

Supervising the students in class, ensuring they complete set task
Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
Managing behaviour
Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
Hold QTS
Knowledge of the national curriculum
Be passionate and understanding
Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
Good communication skills
