Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Whickham, Gateshead, to appoint a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with Key Stage 2 pupils and is committed to helping children develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.
Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Essential Criteria
- Recent experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2
- Experience supporting pupils in Year 6 would be desirable
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
- A positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Must live locally to Gateshead – no relocation
