Early Years Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and nurturing primary school in Enfield. This exciting Early Years Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education and development.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support within the Early Years setting, helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically through engaging and creative learning experiences.
The Role:
- Support children within the Early Years classroom on a whole-class, small-group, and 1:1 basis
- Assist with delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
- Support children’s communication, language, literacy, and numeracy development
- Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
- Support pupils with additional needs where required
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
The Ideal Early Years Teaching Assistant Will Have:
- Previous experience working as an Early Years Teaching Assistant
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development
- Experience supporting phonics programmes such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc. is desirable
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience supporting children with SEND is advantageous
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The Right to Work in the UK
