Teaching Assistant – Gosforth

Milk Education are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Gosforth who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The role will involve supporting pupils across KS2, working alongside the class teacher to help children engage with their learning and make progress.

The role

• Supporting pupils across KS2
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping children with their literacy and numeracy
• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and independent work
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
• Has a good understanding of KS2
• Is confident supporting children with their learning
• Is patient, nurturing and encouraging
• Can build positive relationships with pupils
• Is reliable and able to commit to the role

Teaching Assistant experience is desirable, but relevant childcare or education experience will also be considered.
