Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school on the Wirral that is seeking a passionate and creative Performing Arts Teacher to join their team.
This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with an immediate start available. It is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Performing Arts specialist who can inspire young people through Dance, Drama, Music, or Acting and help students develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Deliver engaging and creative Performing Arts lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Support students in developing confidence, communication, and self-expression through performance.
- Prepare students for performances, assessments, and GCSE coursework.
- Adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of all learners.
- Encourage participation, collaboration, and positive behaviour through creative learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support achievement.
- Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment where students can thrive.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Requirements or Skills:
- Strong subject knowledge within Performing Arts, including Dance, Drama, Music, Acting, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching or delivering Performing Arts sessions to secondary-aged students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.
- A passion for inspiring young people through the arts.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
