We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support learning across the primary age range. You will help create an engaging classroom environment, provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, and contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of every child.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • A good understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
