Learning and Behaviour Mentor

We’re currently searching for a Learning and Behaviour Mentor to join a Primary School based in North Durham starting in September. You’ll be joining welcoming and nurturing schools that put wellbeing and community at the center of everything they do. It’s a great role for someone who wants to become a familiar face in schools that values consistency.

Learning and Behaviour Mentor – Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils’ individual learning needs
  • Fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued, respected, and included
  • Inspiring the children to engage in lessons fully
  • Assisting with the delivery of targeted intervention and catch-up sessions to help pupils bridge learning gaps

Learning and Behaviour Mentor – Requirements or Skills:

  • A real passion for working with children and young people
  • Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred)
