Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Worksop that is looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development while gaining valuable classroom experience.

No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required—just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.

  • Help create a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.

  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence and participation.

  • Support children with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.

  • Assist with classroom preparation and daily routines.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children through schools, nurseries, sports coaching, youth work, childcare, tutoring, camps or similar settings (desirable).

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, caring and proactive approach.

  • The ability to work well as part of a team.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
