We’re currently growing our team of Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across North Durham and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re an experienced TA, a recent Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant graduate, or have experience working with children through care, coaching or youth work, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role: September Start, 8:30am – 15:30pm, Flexible/Day-to-Day Shifts
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them build confidence and make progress.
- Assist teachers with engaging classroom activities.
- Support children with a range of additional needs, including SEND.
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Gain experience in a variety of local schools while enjoying the freedom to choose when you work.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential).
- A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to working in different school environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
