Graduate Classroom Supervisor

Role: Clasroom Supervisor (Secondary School)

Location: Gateshead

Working hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm (full-time or part-time options available)

Start date: 1st September 2026

 

We are recruiting for a Classroom Supervisor for an 11-18 Secondary School in the Gateshead area, to work on an on-going basis for the 2026-27 academic year.

Your role & responsibilities:

● Deliver pre-set lessons and materials in the absence of the main class teacher

● Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for pupils

● Follow and implement the school’s Safeguarding and Behaviour policies

● Liaise with the school’s Cover Manager to provide feedback on classes

● No planning or marking required

● Graduate-level qualification

● Passion for education and working with children and young people

● Hard-working, flexible and reliable

● Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
