Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Sheffield

We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Sheffield that is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children reach their full potential while working alongside experienced teaching staff.

Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and are looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons.

  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.

  • Provide additional support to pupils who require extra guidance.

  • Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support pupils with social, emotional and academic development.

  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).

  • Has previous experience working within a UK primary school.

  • Has a caring, patient and proactive approach.

  • Can build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

  • Is flexible, reliable and enthusiastic.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
