SEMH Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are recruiting a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming primary school in Croydon.

You’ll work closely with children requiring additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them develop confidence, resilience and positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Implement behaviour support strategies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Support classroom learning and engagement.
• Work alongside teachers, SENDCo and external professionals.

About You

• Experience supporting children with SEMH or SEND is desirable.
• Calm and patient approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passionate about inclusion.
• Able to remain positive in challenging situations.
