Are you a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rotherham that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the primary age range. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school where staff work collaboratively to ensure every child feels supported, valued and encouraged to achieve their best.

The successful candidate will play an important role in helping pupils thrive both academically and socially while working alongside an experienced and supportive teaching team.

Your Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and creative lessons.

  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small intervention groups.

  • Assist children with their academic, emotional and social development.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a productive classroom environment.

  • Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities.

  • Support children with additional learning needs where required.

  • Prepare classroom resources and contribute to the smooth running of the school day.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience working with children within a primary school or educational setting.

  • Is passionate about making a positive impact on children’s learning and development.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Can work confidently as part of a team and independently when required.

  • Is reliable, proactive and committed to providing high-quality support.

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
