We’re currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting in Haringey, starting in September. This role is temp-to-perm.

You’ll be joining a nurturing, inclusive school that puts pupil wellbeing and consistency at the heart of everything it does. It’s a great fit for someone who wants to become a familiar, trusted face for pupils with additional needs.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis, tailoring your approach to individual needs
  • Assisting with personal care and mobility where required
  • Supporting speech, language and communication development alongside specialist staff
  • Promoting independence and building pupils’ confidence in a calm, structured environment

Requirements or Skills

  • Recent experience working with children or young people with SEND, autism experience preferred
  • Patient, resilient approach with strong communication skills
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Comfortable following individual pupil support plans and working as part of a wider team

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
