We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Nursery in Sunderland on a long-term basis starting in SeptemberThis role is temp-to-perm. 

You’ll be joining a caring, diverse and inclusive Nursery focused on ensuring children are confident and motivated learners. 

This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a Nursery where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting children’s wellbeing, independence and confidence.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues, communicating effectively and contributing to each child’s progress.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times, ensuring the highest standards of care and professionalism.

Requirements or Skills: 

  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting Solid numeracy and literacy skills 

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience 

  • Comfortable taking direction and working as part of a team

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
