SEND Support Worker – Surrey – From September
Milk Education is recruiting SEND Support Workers for schools and specialist settings across Liverpool, with opportunities available from September on a short-term, long-term, permanent or temp-to-perm basis.
You’ll support children and young people with SEND and additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
- Support pupils with learning, communication, behaviour and emotional needs.
- Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in school activities.
- Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
- Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
- Previous experience in a school, care, youth work or similar setting.
- Patient, reliable and confident approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding.
- Relevant Level 2/3 qualification in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care or similar is desirable.
