We’re currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.
You’ll be joining a supportive school that values collaboration, high expectations and pupil wellbeing. You’ll play an important role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning, working closely with teachers while taking responsibility for leading learning activities and interventions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA looking to take the next step in their education career.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Leading planned lessons and learning activities when required
-
Supporting teachers with high-quality classroom delivery
-
Working with pupils individually and in small groups
-
Delivering targeted literacy, numeracy and SEND interventions
-
Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations
-
Providing feedback on pupil progress to teaching staff
-
Helping prepare learning resources and classroom activities
-
Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 as required
Requirements or Skills:
-
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA
-
A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
-
Experience delivering interventions or leading learning activities
-
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Confident working independently and as part of a wider school team

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
