KS2 Teaching Assistant – Primary (Nottingham)

We’re currently recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive school that values teamwork, high expectations and pupil wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils across Years 3–6 and become a valued member of a school community.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils across KS2 with their day-to-day learning
  • Working one-to-one and in small groups to reinforce learning
  • Supporting literacy, reading and numeracy interventions
  • Working alongside the class teacher to adapt resources and activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
  • Helping create a positive and engaging classroom environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff

Requirements or Skills:

  • Recent experience working with children in a school or education setting
  • Experience supporting pupils within KS2 is desirable
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient, adaptable and proactive approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
